Do you want to know more about IP? Visit us at stand 752 at Food Matters Live

Are you in the process of setting up a business, or looking to add value to your growing company?  Intellectual property (IP) is essential to every business, and many aspects of food and beverage products attract protection.

While trade marks will be familiar to most in the industry, did you know that innovative food and beverage products, ingredients, manufacturing methods, and packaging are eligible for patent protection?  Likewise, aspects of the food/beverage get-up may be protectable by registered design rights.

Our team will be running an IP clinic throughout Food Matters Live (ExCel). Please do drop into the clinic at the Mathys & Squire exhibitor stand no. 752, and we will be delighted to help with any IP matter you may have.

We have particular expertise in Food Technology, and our dedicated Food & Beverage team has filed and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in this highly innovative field with clients ranging from household names such as PepsiCo, Quaker Oats, and Warburtons, through to SMEs and start-ups.

Examples of technical subject-matter we have handled include granola and snack-foods,  colour-stabilised drinks, corn milling and puffed grain processes, low-cal naturally-sweetened drinks, sterol-fortified beverages, bread manufacturing methods, and food/beverage packaging.
